The mission of Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth, a nonprofit organization, is to provide services to assist legally and totally blind individuals to achieve their highest level of personal and economic self-sufficiency consistent with their specific skills, general abilities and interests.
Vision loss can be a frightening experience for anyone; a college bound student, a baby boomer or an elderly person. Helping people with vision loss to be self-sufficient and independent is the cornerstone of our work at the Lighthouse. We understand what that person is going through. The loss of sight doesn’t mean the loss of independence. Our dedicated and caring staff provides personal assistance by teaching individuals how to complete tasks in their own home or out in the community. Lighthouse for the Blind — proudly providing jobs, services, and independence.
