Ways To Give

Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth relies on the generosity of our community to fund essential services for persons who have significant visual impairment. Following are ways that you can make a gift to the Lighthouse for the Blind:

• General Fund: The General Fund is for unrestricted gifts that will be used by the Lighthouse for direct services and operations.
• Tarrant County Association for the Blind of Fort Worth Endowment Trust: In order to ensure that Lighthouse for the Blind will be able to provide services for another 75 years, gifts can be designated to the Endowment.
• Honorarium: Consider celebrating loved ones or friends on birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions and holidays by making a gift to the Lighthouse for the Blind in their honor.
• Memorial: Keep the giving spirit of a friend or loved one alive through a donation in their name. In place of flowers, consider giving to Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth in memory of a loved one - continuing that person's legacy by making a difference in the life of a person who is blind or significantly visually impaired.
• Bequests and Planned Giving: You can continue the Lighthouse legacy through a planned gift to Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth. Whatever your estate planning objectives might be, our staff can share gift-planning ideas with you that can benefit you and your family while creating a lasting legacy.

Corporations

Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth invites all companies - from small to large - to partner with us to make a difference in the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired.

We are happy to tailor a partnership that matches your needs and level of involvement. Corporate partnerships can include gifts of cash for general operating or specific programs, sponsorship of events, in-kind contributions, and a variety of volunteer opportunities.

Corporations can also support the Lighthouse’s mission by including us in your Matching Gift program.  If you are an employee of a corporation, please check with your HR representative about their Matching Gift program. A Matching Gift can double - sometimes triple - the impact of a gift.

Foundations

Financial support from corporate, private and family foundations play a vital role in supporting the different programs that help our clients lead independent lives.

We welcome and appreciate gifts of all sizes. Gifts can be applied in many ways, including general operating support, specific program support, capital support, and growing our endowment.

If you have an idea for a fundraiser to be held by you, your group or your business, and you are looking for a great beneficiary, we would be delighted to visit with you!  By hosting an event on our behalf, you are a part of the Lighthouse for the Blind of Fort Worth, helping to raise awareness and the critical funding necessary to support and expand programs for people who are blind and visually impaired.
